You might be familiar with the name Sharon Gless, especially when you have watched Cagney & Lacey back in the days. Together with Tyne Daly, Gless became one of the hottest celebrities back in the 80s, especially after portraying two female cops who kept the audience at the edge of their seats. Their TV program showed a different side of the police force which helped open doors for such shows, just like NYPD Blues.

Gless remains active even in her 70s, and it is clear that she and Daly won’t be retiring any time soon.
