Julia Stiles | Philanthropist

Julia Stiles started her acting career on stage at eleven years old and scored her first film role in 1996’s I Love You and I Love You Not. She also appeared in Wide Awake before landing the award-winning role in the 1999 teen comedy 10 Things I Hate About You. Stiles has over 50 acting credits to her name, and she continues to appear on the big and small screens today.

Stiles has worked for Habitat for Humanity and built housing in Costa Rica. She has also worked with Amnesty International to spread awareness of the harsh conditions of unaccompanied juveniles’ detention. In 2004, the Marie Claire publication featured the actress’s trip to see the youth’s conditions at the Berks County Youth Center located in Leesport, Pennsylvania. In 2017, Stiles married camera assistant Preston J. Cook. They have one son together.
