Former actor Roger Ewing first experienced what it felt like to be on the mainstream television scenes in the hit sitcom Bewitched during its first season. He later appeared as a guest star in a couple of television shows in the past up until the point where he got a significant role in the western-inspired comedy series Gunsmoke. He played the role of the part-time deputy marshal Clayton Thaddeus “Thad” Greenwood for 36 episodes.

After Roger Ewing left the show Gunsmoke, he managed to add two major film credits to his name, including a role in Smith and Play It as It Lays. After that, Ewing decided to end his acting career and proceeded to become a photographer to pursue his true passion. Roger Ewing is retired and currently lives in Morro Bay, California, where he is active in local politics.
