The country music legend Willie Nelson became one of the most recognizable artists of his genre during the 70s. His album, Shotgun Willie, was a huge part of that success, and that paved the way for him to solidify his grounds in the music scenes. Aside from singing, he’s also great when it comes to words, and he used it to produce a couple of songs and poems that usually portrays some of the recent issues our society has gone through.
He had a couple of ups and downs in his personal life, and at one point, the business that he established went into bankruptcy. However, he managed himself through the predicament and came out strong! Nelson made his debut in movie in the 1979 movie The Electric Horseman, and later appeared in films and television. Nelson is a leading liberal activist and co-chairman of the advisory board of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, which supports the legalization of marijuana.
