BJÖRK – BORN 1965

Before Lady Gaga, Bjork reigned in the music scene with her avant-garde fashion sense and music style. However, despite maintaining her industry status for over 40 years, the artist has yet to show any aging signs.

The Icelandic artist first came into the scene in 1987 with the band Sugarcubes but later pursued a solo career after moving to the UK. During that time, she popularized many electro-pop and eclectic songs such as Venus As a Boy, Army of Me, Cosmogony, and Hidden Places. However, Bjork’s popularity also came with a couple of unwanted situations. At a certain point, Bjork even made drastic actions against media people. She also met an ultra avid fan who threatened her life. Thus, the artist had to tighten her home security and later move to Spain and later on to New York. Now, the singer is still working on her music career while juggling her time living in her Manhattan home and Iceland home.
