Faceless Dolls

Children often need toys to enjoy and engage themselves in play. One toy that all children are familiar with is dolls, and the Amish children get to play with dolls at some point in their lives. However, Amish dolls are pretty different from the dolls that we know and are accustomed to. These Amish dolls are faceless dolls, and they certainly are not similar to any modern dolls for modern-day children.

These faceless dolls are common toys given to young Amish children. The reason why these dolls are faceless isn’t due to make them as creepy as they can, but they are designed to have expressionless and blank faces to deter pride and vanity. As you may know by now, the Amish people are certainly not about pride and vanity. They certainly deserve credit for upholding their values even with the toys that their children play with.
