Crystal McKellar | Capital Firm Founder & Managing Partner

Crystal McKellar is a former child actress who acted alongside her sister, Danica, in the television series The Wonder Years. Both were considered for the main role Winnie, but Danica got the part, and McKellar played Becky Slater instead. In her childhood, she took dancing classes at age of three, which led to the beginning of her professional career. At age seven, she began to appear in commercials. Eventually, McKellar stopped auditioning and interviewing for commercials at age 12. Her first acting role on television was in Fatal Judgment in 1988, co-starring Patty Duke.

In 1990, at age 14, she appeared in her second made-for-television movie Judgment in 1990. Both siblings maintained their professional acting careers as children, but their parents instill in them a strong emphasis on education as a priority. As a result, McKellar graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School and became a lawyer. Currently, she’s the founder and managing partner of the capital firm Anathem Ventures.
