David Caruso | Gallerist

Best known as Detective John Kelly in the crime drama NYPD Blue on ABC network and Lieutenant Horatio in the series CSI: Miami on CBS network, David Caruso worked as a cinema usher during his younger years. In the early ‘80s, he made his first film appearance in Getting Wasted. Later on, he would star in what he credited as what got him noticed, Topper Daniels, a cadet who nearly drowned in the romantic drama An Officer and a Gentleman in 1982. The rest of the decade only landed Caruso supporting roles in the films First Blood, Blue City, China Girls, and Twins.

The actor secured his first major role in the procedural series NYPD Blue as Detective John Kelly in 1993. Since then, Caruso’s career flourished and starred in several big-screen films and television series until his retirement from the entertainment industry back in 2012. Following his retirement, Caruso opened up an art gallery for several years, and further information regarding his personal life since then is not publicly available up to the present day.
