While some of us have been too preoccupied playing with toys and getting our knees bruised from too much playing, Jennifer Love Hewitt has been stretching her vocal cords and memorizing lines for Disney’s Kids Incorporated. At 13 years old, Hewitt had already released her first album, Love Songs. A couple of years after, the child actress starred in Party of Five. Her pretty face would be a familiar sight for the ‘90s kids who love suspense films; the actress played a lead role in I Know What You Did Last Summer. Hewitt’s degree of acting secured her a role in The Ghost Whisperer, which ran for five seasons.

Later on in the actress’s life, she shifted from acting and singing to a somehow unrelated field: writing. Her luck and un-luck in love—not to mention, her middle name is Love—has perhaps urged her to write her first book, The Day I Shot Cupid, where she offers her outlook about love.
