Gene Hackman | Novelist

Eugene Alden Hackman, born in January 1930, is known for his downright honest and emotion-stimulating acting that pierces the heart. His ability to deliver despite being given different roles is what makes him a good actor. Before he became an actor, Hackman enlisted in the army and was caught in the Korean conflict. He studied for a degree in journalism and television production, but he felt that it was acting that set him on fire.

Hackman’s career started on Broadway when he played a young suitor in Any Wednesday. His remarkable performance drew in agents from Hollywood, which later secured him a role in the film Lilith. Hackman’s acting career continued to flourish through the years that before retiring, he starred in at least 75 films (along with 2 Oscars and more nominations than he can recall). Presently, he spends more time on books. At the age of 70, he published his first book. Hackman somehow agrees that his work in theatre and film has influenced his writing.
