Born as Jeffrey Bertan McMahon, the famous child star Jeff Cohen was mainly recognized in The Goonies, where he played the role of Chunk. The Goonies sits on the 13th spot on Rolling Stone’s best movies of the ‘80s. After playing the scene-stealing Chunk, Jeff starred in Ask Max and Family Ties. It was his dream to be an actor since he was young; as a child, his mother’s attraction to the entertainment world had somehow influenced him.

When he went to college, Cohen started to have realizations: that in acting, there is baggage to bear. His sights shifted from acting to the business side of the entertainment world, which prompted him to pursue a degree in law. The 2000s was a big year for the child actor turned attorney. He and his friend, Jonathan Gardner, established their own law firm: Cohen & Gardner LLP. This shift in his career paved the way for his recognition as one of the “Top 35 Executives 35 and Under.”
