Kevin Kennedy | Social Entrepreneur

English actor and musician Kevin Kennedy is perhaps best known for playing Curly Watts for two decades in the long-running soap opera Coronation Street. In the show, his character started as a paperboy, then landed a job as a dustman, and became an assistant manager at a grocery store. His on-screen character somewhat reflected his personal life, as he also ventured into various pursuits.

Kennedy now serves as director of a social enterprise called Kennedy Street recovery services and his wife, Clare. His company offers free telephone advice, home-based detox, signposting to local recovery services, a professional recommendation and coaching service, and various recovery-focused programs. While he does business, he also sporadically receives acting credits in shows such as Rock of Ages, Mrs. Brown’s Boys, and Doctors. In 2001, he released the song Bulldog Nation through his band Bunch of Thieves.
