With her older brother being a hockey player and her sister a figure skater, it was only a matter of time before Michelle Kwan made her way to the ice. Her journey into figure skating began when she was eight years old. During that period, she and her sister trained at a skating rink before and after class. Well, in retrospect, it sure looks like all that hard work has since become quite an investment.

Michelle won numerous competitions throughout her career in competitive figure skating, including five Figure Skating World Championships and nine US Figure Skating Championships. Plus, she is also a two-time Olympic medallist. While she’s still gracing the skating-rink in numerous events, Michelle has dabbled in other endeavors along the way, one of which was when she wrote an autobiography titled Heart of a Champion, published in 1998.
