For her interest in pursuing an acting career, a good portion of the credit would undoubtedly go to her older brother. Mara Wilson began her career under the spotlight with appearances in several commercials. After a while, she finally obtained the chance to audition for a movie. Well, that movie in question just so happened to be 1993’s, Mrs. Doubtfire.

She then gained even more fame for her performance in Miracle on 34th Street, Thomas, and the Magic Railroad, and Matilda. For a time, the Matilda actress kept a relatively low profile. Throughout that period, she focused most of her time writing a couple of articles for Cracked.com, an online magazine. In more recent years, though, Mara is slowly making her way back into the acting business, with a voice-acting gig for Big Hero 6: The Series and BoJack Horseman.
