Viola Davis and Julius Tennon

Already inspiring in their own right, the power couple Viola Davis and Julius Tennon became an influential force in Hollywood. Their first meeting seemed to be straight out of a fairy tale. After praying for a husband, Davis’s prayers were answered when she met Tennon three and a half weeks later. In 2003, they tied the knot and in 2011, they adopted an infant, who they named Genesis. Prior to that, Tennon shared two sons from his previous marriages, who are also Davis’ stepchildren.

Since then, the couple has been active in a number of causes, mainly for social justice. In 2018, they founded JuVee Productions as a way of encouraging diversity in Hollywood and to welcome investments in shows produced by people of color. As for their family life, they remain inseparable and happy after nearly 18 years of marriage.
