Denzel and Pauletta Washington

Most of us only know him as an actor, but behind his fame is a woman who has supported him through the years. Denzel met Pauletta Pearson while on the set of the 1977 film Wilma. They began dating a year later. After getting turned down twice, Denzel finally received Pauletta’s sweet yes, and the two tied the knot in June 1983. They have been inseparable ever since.

Denzel and Pauletta’s marriage bore four children, John David, Katia, Olivia, and Malcolm. The Malcolm X actor credits his wife for putting up the hard work in making sure that their children have a stable and normal family life. The couple is celebrating their union of thirty-eight years this 2021.
