Marty Allen – Pneumonia

Yet another victim of pneumonia was Marty Allen. Known as Morton David Alpern in real life, Allen was considered as one of the best comedians of all time. He started working in various scenes. You would find him performing in nightclubs and TV before finally landing roles in films. He wasn’t just a famous comedian though. He also had a kind heart, often visiting military hospitals to cheer up the sick and the troops.

Reportedly, he was also a philanthropist, who worked alongside a number of health associations and insurance companies to promote good health. Sadly, Allen passed away due to complications brought by pneumonia at the age of 95.
