Richard Attenborough – Heart Failure
Richard Attenborough was considered an icon in the British film and television industry. This was for his great work during World War II. He was part of the RAF Film Productions that captured Royal Air Force raids on film. While doing this across Europe, he suffered permanent ear damage in one of his flight exercises. We only hope a comprehensive medical insurance had covered his expenses at the time.
His health further declined when he retired from the film industry. He had been in and out of the hospital several times due to heart problems. In fact, he had a pacemaker in 2008. He passed away at the age of 90 in August 2014.
