Alice Playten – Heart Failure

Alice Playten started to make a name for herself when she performed on Broadway in the late ’50s and early ’60s. While not everyone knew the actress back then, she had a brilliant talent that the industry can depend on during her peak years.

Her performance in the Broadway musicals launched her career into the mainstream scene. She may not have had major credits for her roles but she received a number of projects including voice acting roles. All the while battling type 1 diabetes. This just proved her determination to succeed in her craft. However, she suffered from heart failure as a result of complications of her illness.
