Leonard Nimoy – Smoking-Related Illness

Leonard Nimoy was well-known for his role in the Star Trek franchise as the iconic Mr. Spock. However, he wasn’t just part of the Star Trek film series. He also ventured into directing, writing, photography and singing during his active years. We can say that he was one talented actor, who isn’t afraid to try new things. In fact, he went on to get his masters degree at Antioch College so he could start teaching the young ones.

Sadly, he announced he was suffering from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in 2014. This was caused by smoking. A year after, he fell into a coma and eventually passed away due to complications from his medical condition.
