LIV ULLMANN | 81, $20 MILLION
The Norwegian actress exported her talents and brought it not only to Europe but to the international scenes as well. She mainly played films based in France, in the Scandanavian region, and Italy. Still, with her strong acting performance, she managed to make a huge ripple all the way down to Hollywood, where she won a couple of awards and received a ton of nominations. We have to give her credit for that, and we know it is not easy to dominate the landscape if you are thousands of miles away.
Even with that handicap, she still made a significant influence in the mainstream Hollywood scenes. In 1972, Ullmann won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress-Motion Picture Drama for the film The Emigrants, and won four other nominations. In 2000, she was nominated for the Palme d’Or for her second film, Faithless. She also won two BAFTA Awards nominations and two Academy Awards nominations for her performances in Scenes from a Marriage and Face to Face .
