MICHELLE PHILLIPS | 76, $10 MILLION

The singer and songwriter Michelle Phillips was one of the top musicians of the ’60s. The musical quartet The Mamas and the Papas became her ticket to fame and was even dubbed as the “purest soprano in the music industry” by Time Magazine. Phillips also had a couple of acclaimed performances not only in music but in films as well. Now that tells us a lot of what she can offer on the table! Phillips appeared in many films in the 1980s.

The first film was the comedy The Man with Bogart’s Face. The next year, she co-starred with Tom Skerritt in the nature-themed horror film Savage Harvest, followed by the TV film Secrets of a Married Man and The Covenant. In the later part of her career, she focused more on acting than in music, and we last saw her last year in a documentary entitled Echo in the Canyon, which gives credit for all the artists that came out of Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles.
