David Birney gets the credit for being an actor who has managed to perform in both classic and contemporary movies, theatre plays, and even TV shows. He has continuously received praise for his versatility, putting everyone in awe of his great acting talent.At the age of 81 and in the years that he has spent in the industry, Birney has a long list of different projects that he can brag about.
He has performed several leading roles in some of the most iconic theaters in the country, starring on Broadway in Amedeus, Benefactors, and Man and Superman. He also graced New York’s Lincoln Center Repertory Theatre, Los Angeles’ Mark Taper Forum, and many more. TV and movie projects-wise, Birney was part of Live Shot, St. Elsewhere, Caravan to Vaccares, Trial by Combat, and of course, Bridget Loves Bernie. However, he spends most of his life out of the spotlight today, making his last TV appearance in 2007 on Without a Trace.
