The French actress and model Brigitte Bardot enjoyed her heyday during the 1950s up until the late 60s. There’s even a point in time that she’s dubbed as “the most liberated woman in post-war France.” Bardot retired from the entertainment industry in 1973.

She has appeared in 47 films, performed in several musicals and recorded more than 60 songs. In 1985 she was awarded the Legion of Honour, but refused to accept it. After retirement, she became an animal rights activist. In the early 70s, Bardot decided to step away from the limelight and spent most of her time dealing with lawyers and advocating animal rights. Its been a couple of decades since we saw her prime but even to this date, her name is still a key figure in today’s pop culture.

Lee Meriwether made a name for herself as one of the top models and actresses of her generation. She pretty much enjoyed and built up a huge reputation in the entertainment scenes as well as a very solid credit score throughout her lifetime. She entered the entertainment scenes after she was crowned Miss America in 1955 and slowly made her way towards the mainstream film and television scenes.

She is known for her role as Betty Jones, Buddy Ebsen’s secretary and daughter-in-law of the 1970s crime drama Barnaby Jones. COTE DE PABLO – BORN 1979

You will best remember Cote de Pablo, the Chilean-American beauty, as Ziva David on the long-running CBS TV series, NCIS. She has been part of the show since 2005, and although she had been away for years, she made her ultimate return. During her time in the police procedural drama, she won the ALMA Award in 2011. The 41-year-old star also lent her voice for the show when she sang her own rendition of Tom Wait’s Temptation for a 2008 episode.

In case you didn’t know, Pablo is also a singer. She studied music and theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. Pablo gets credit for being the singer in Roberto Pitre’s Vivo en Vida, singing Samba in Prelude and Cry Me a River. Cote de Pablo sang Tom Wait’s song “Temptation” for an episode of NCIS in 2008. George Hamilton is an American film and TV actor. He is one of the industry’s top personalities in Hollywood back in the days. Hamilton won a Golden Globe Award for his debut performance in Crime and Punishment U.S.A. and was nominated for a BAFTA Award.

He has also received a additional BAFTA nomination and two additional Golden Globe nominations. SHIRLEY JONES | 86, $25 MILLION

The ’50s had been good to several personalities in show business, and one of the receiving ends of this streak of luck was Shirley Jones. Her career started during this era, and she made the most out of it and gave her best in films such as Oklahoma! and Carousel. She rode her wave of success that carried her through the ’60s and ’70s.She starred in Shirley Partridge in the musical situation-comedy TV series The Partridge Family, co-starring David Cassidy, the son of her real-life stepson Jack Cassidy.

At the same time, she even brought home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Elmer Gantry. Jones surely made a lot of fortune and built up an outstanding credit score during her acting run. In early 2008, it was reported that Jones would play Colleen Brady on NBC’s soap opera Days of Our Lives. Jones guest-starred as David and Patrick’s mother on ABC Family’s short play Ruby & The Rockits.

ANGIE DICKINSON | 88, $25 MILLION

Angie Dickinson’s biggest break happened after she became part of the 1956 film Gun the Man Down alongside the Gunsmoke actor James Arness. She later starred in Rio Bravo that earned her a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year. Since then, her name has appeared in more than 50 film credits over six decades of actively participating in films and television shows.

From 1974 to 1978, Dickinson played Sergeant Suzanne “Pepper” Anderson in NBC’s crime series Police Woman, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in TV Series Drama and three Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series nominations. During the late 80s, she finally received her star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and she has been retired from the industry since 2009. Jill St. John or Jill Arlyn Oppenheim in real life became famous for her role in Diamonds Are Forever as Tiffany Case, the first American Bond girl in film history. Her movie Come Blow Your Horn got her a Golden Globe nomination, which later became her ticket towards fame and fortune. On television, St. John has starred in Batman, The Big Valley, Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, Hart to Hart, Vega$, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Magnum, P.I. and Seinfeld.

In her Hollywood heyday, she was almost equally famous for her high-profile social life and frequent romantic contacts with well-known public figures. During the early ’70s, she decided to step away from the limelight, hired a moving company, and resided in Aspen, Colorado, to give herself and her family that well-deserved private time. However, St. John wasn’t able to completely resist her passion for acting and went back to Hollywood and continued from where she left off.

Faye Dunaway forged a solid and outstanding acting career in Hollywood throughout the years. Tyne Daly built up a huge network of influence in the film and theater industry throughout her career. Well, we can’t blame her since she showed a remarkable track record in those departments and even earned herself six Emmy Awards and a Tony Award for her past projects. Her most famous role during her career was her part in the drama series Cagney & Lacey as Detective Mary Beth Lacey.

Daly may be in her mid-70s now, but from the looks of things, she still has plenty of gas left in her tank. We can’t wait to see any new projects coming from her soon. Her other roles on TV include Alice Henderson in Christy, which won her a sixth Emmy in 2003. OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND | 104, $50 MILLION

Dame Olivia de Havilland without a doubt is one of the most iconic actresses in the history of cinema. She’s considered one of the top personalities of her generation and is one of the surviving stars from the famed Golden Age of Hollywood Cinema. She captured the hearts and minds of her audience and peers with her role in the 1935 film Captain Blood that became her starting point towards a successful career in show business.

De Havilland upped her game and evolved to new heights with her stunning performance in the classic movie Gone with the Wind. Overall, she has around 49 feature films to her credit and her name will always be in the conversation when it comes to the greatest personalities in show business. NANCY SINATRA | 80, $50 MILLION

Just like her father Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra also became a superstar in both the film and the music industry. Whenever people hear her song These Boots Are Made for Walkin, we are certain that she’s the one who comes into our minds. Sinatra also lent one of her singles as the theme song of a James Bond movie. She pretty much became as famous as her father in terms of success in the industry and just like old people say – like father, like daughter.

Sinatra also showed no signs of going into bankruptcy, so kudos for her in that regard! Sinatra also had a short acting career in the mid-1960s, including co-starring Elvis Presley in movie Speedway and Peter Fonda in The Wild Angels. Yang Sze or popularly known as Bolo Yeung, is once a Chinese competitive bodybuilder, martial artist and martial arts movie actor. He holds a great deal of reputation for all martial artists and bodybuilders back in the days. His tough persona on top of his overwhelming strength was the best selling point in his show business career. Speaking of his acting career, he usually plays the biggest villains in his past films, and his role as Bolo alongside Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon might be his most famous project to date.

He has also played many well-known roles, including Chong Li in Bloodsport, Chang Lee in Bloodfight and many appearances and long career in Hong Kong martial arts films. With the kind of work that he had, he probably had excellent health insurance coverage to negate any possible injuries he sustains while filming.

LORETTA SWIT | 82, $4 MILLION

Loretta Swit is another product of the hit television show M*A*S*H that dominated the television landscape during the ’70s. Her outstanding performance in the show as Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan gave her a shot for winning a couple of awards, including a pair of Emmy Awards. In 1988, she hosted “Korean War-The Untold Story”, a documentary about the real events of the war, and went to South Korea to shoot.

She became the first member of the M * A * S * H crew and actually visited countries other than Jamie Farr and Alan Alda. After the show ended, she decided to take it slowly and eventually decided to retire from acting during the 2000s. She occasionally appeared on-screen since then, and her recent appearance was in the 2019 film, Play the Flute. With all of the paycheck she received during her prime, we are certain that she never needed any personal loans or anything similar.

HARRY BELAFONTE | 93, $28 MILLION

Harold George Bellanfanti Jr., or professionally known as Harry Belafonte,  is a Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, activist, and actor. He made his mark in history as one of the most successful pop artists in the industry. Perhaps, we heard a couple of his songs throughout our lifetime but genuinely know that he’s the man behind those hits.

Belafonte’s timeless hit, The Banana Boat Song, is one of his creations that will go down in history as one of the leading movers of the Jamaican-Caribbean music in the mainstream media. We know that credit cards are still not a thing during that era, but he impressively made huge sales in LPs back in the days. In fact, he’s the first artist that managed to hit the first million-selling LP coming from a single artist.
